Chauhan, learned counsel for the petitioner, who has approached this Court with a grievance that his application filed for demarcation of the land has not been acted upon. This Court on the earlier occasion, i.e., 30.07.2025 had passed the following order: “Heard Shri R. S. Chauhan, learned counsel for the petitioner, who is aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent authorities towards demarcation of the land. Shri B. J. Talukdar, the learned Addl. Senior Govt. Advocate as well as Ms. P. R. Mahanta, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue Department have however contended that the aspect of demarcation is a notified service under the Assam Right to Public Service Act, 2012. It however appears that the petitioner has filed an application for demarcation before the Deputy Commissioner. Though the designated authority is the Circle Officer, at this stage, let instructions be obtained as to the fate of the application said to have been filed 19.06.2025. List for motion on 14.08.2025. To facilitate the learned counsel for the respondents to obtain instructions, let extra copies be served upon them by tomorrow.” Pursuant to the aforesaid directions, Shri H. Sharma, learned Addl. Senior Government Advocate, Assam has submitted that written instructions dated 13.08.2025 have been received as per which the date for demarcation has been fixed on 21.08.2025.
