PUBLIC PROSECUTOR (AP) The Court made the following: ORDER: This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A6, 9, 10, 16 to 19 seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.128 of 2018, dated 12.09.2018 of Allavaram Police Station, East Godavari District registered for the offences punishable under Sections 379, 120(b) of IPC, Section 25(1) (a) of Arms Act, 1951, Section 15(2) of Minerals & Pipelines (Acquisition of Rights of User in Land) Act, 1962, Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 and Section 7 of Essential Commodities Act, 1955. 2. During hearing, the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has furnished a copy of the charge sheet dated 31.03.2024 vide C.C.S.R.No.719 of 2024 on the file of Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Amalapuram. However, the said charge sheet is still awaited for numbering. In view of the same, since the investigation has already 3 been completed, instead of keeping this criminal petition pending, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present criminal petition. 3. Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent-State to ensure that the charge sheet is numbered as expeditiously as possible, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. Giving liberty to the petitioners to challenge the charge sheet, if they are advised to do so.
