the electricity bill, which is in the name of her husband. It is further submitted that the cause of death was asphyxia due to antemortem hanging, and except for the ligature mark, no other antemortem injury was found. 6. Learned AGA has opposed the bail application. However, from the record, he could not dispute the fact that the allegations against the applicant are general in nature. He, nevertheless, submits that the applicant is the mother-in-law of the deceased and it cannot be said to be a case of false implication. The alleged offence is heinous. 7. Perused the record. 8. It is not disputed that the deceased died within seven years of marriage and was found dead under unnatural circumstances within three years of marriage.
The allegations of torture and cruelty inflicted upon the deceased are serious in nature. The applicant is the mother-in-law of the deceased. Considering the gravity of the offence, it cannot be said that the applicant has been falsely implicated merely to tarnish her reputation. 9. In view of the above observations, the anticipatory bail application is rejected. September 9, 2025 R.C.
