Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. S. Chutia, learned standing counsel, Elementary Education Department for the respondent Nos. 1 to 6 and Mr. B. Deuri, learned Govt. Advocate for the respondent No. 7. 2. The husband of the petitioner late Atiur Rahman @ Atiwar Rahman while serving as an Assistant Teacher of Dhanbari L. P School, Goalpara, died-in- harness on 28.10.2005. At the time of the death of her husband, the petitioner was HSLC passed and accordingly she made an application for appointment on compassionate grounds on 31.07.2007. Thereafter, the petitioner again submitted another application in the prescribed format on 25.09.2007. The application of the petitioner was forwarded by the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Goalpara to the Director of Elementary Education, Assam on 24.09.2007. Thereafter, the Deputy Director of Elementary Education Assam forwarded the matter to the District Elementary Education Officer, Goalpara on 29.06.2009 Page No.# 3/3 with a request to place the matter before the District Level Committee for necessary action. However, as the petitioner has not been informed as to whether her case has been considered by the concerned DLC, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. Considering the limited prayer involved, this writ petition is disposed of directing the District Elementary Education Officer, Goalpara/respondent No.4 to place the case of the petitioner before the next immediate sitting of the DLC. However, if the DLC has already considered the case of the petitioner, the outcome of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith. 4. With the above observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
