This Application under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed for quashing the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.237 of 2025, “State vs. Siddhartha Gupta and Others”, pending before the court of Ist Additional Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun under Sections 323, 498A, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 3 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2 . Mr. Pradeep Chamiyal, learned counsel for the applicants-accused. 1 2025:UHC:9735 3 . Mr. Chitrarth Kandpal, learned Brief Holder for the respondent no.1. 4 . Mr. Neerag Garg, learned counsel for the respondent no.2-informant. 5 . The applicant no.3 is the husband of the respondent no.2-informant. Applicant No.1 is the father and applicant no.2 is the mother of the applicant no.3. All the applicants-accused are present through video conferencing. They are identified by Mr. Pradeep Chamiyal, Advocate. 6 . The respondent no.2-informant is present through video conferencing. She is identified by Mr. Neeraj Garg, Advocate. 7 . Both, the applicants and the respondent no.2 have submitted that there were matrimonial disputes. They have settled their disputes. They have filed a Compounding Application (IA No.3 of 2025) and affidavits with their free will and without any pressure. The respondent no.2 has requested to quash the entire proceedings of the said Criminal Case No.237 of 2025. 8 . The said request has not been opposed by Mr. Chitrarth Kandpal, Brief Holder. 9 . In the facts and circumstances of the case, ends of justice would be met if the entire proceedings 2 2025:UHC:9735 of Criminal Case No.237 of 2025, “State vs. Siddhartha Gupta and Others”, pending before the court of Ist Additional Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun, are quashed. 1 0 .
