Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 2. This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with the following relief :- "(A) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent no. 4 i.e. District Magistrate, Prayagraj to issue the Character Certificate to the petitioner on his application dated 29.10.2024 by calling the report from the authorities concerned within time bound frame." 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed the application dated 29.10.2024 (Annexure No. 2) for issuance of character certificate, however, the same has not yet been decided by the said authority concerned. 4. Upon due consideration, we are of the view that the respondent no. 4/District Magistrate, Prayagraj should be directed to pass a reasoned order upon the application of the petitioner dated 29.10.2024 (Annexure No. 2). 5. Accordingly, the respondent no. 4/District Magistrate, Prayagraj is directed to pass a reasoned order upon the application of the petitioner dated 29.10.2024 (Annexure No. 2) within a period of twelve weeks from date after granting an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned. 6.
