2. This is an application under Section 483 BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of bail to the accused/petitioner, namely, Sri Hareswar Kalita, who has been arrested on
Page No.# 2/2 24.05.2025 in connection with Karimganj P.S. Case No. 253/2025 under Section 64(2) (k)/70(1) of the BNS, 2023.
3. During the deliberation of the matter, Mr. B. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam on instruction, submitted that police after completion of investigation of the case has already submitted the charge-sheet in said Karimganj P.S. Case No. 253/2025 vide Charge-Sheet No. 247/2025 dated 22.07.2025.
4. In that context, Mr. N. Kalita, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the accused petitioner is in the custody since 24.05.2025 and hence, considering the length of detention, he may be enlarged on bail.
5. Hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that the case has already been charge sheeted, the petitioner is hereby directed to approach the learned Trial Court with an appropriate application for bail, which will consider the same in accordance with the law.
6. With the above observation, the bail petition stands disposed of.
