THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The grievance of the petitioner is that his application for renewal of passport has been rejected on the ground that the petitioner has defaulted on payment of loan and proceedings have been initiated at the hands of the State Bank of Hyderabad against the petitioner for recovery of loan. This information has been received from the police authorities. 2. The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, appearing for the respondents would point out to a document produced along with a memo dated 13.02.2025 at the hands of the petitioner and submits that it is the - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:7692 WP No. 4098 of 2025 contention of the petitioner that the execution case for recovery of the money has been disposed of by order dated 17.11.2018 on the file of the I Addl. Senior Civil Judge and CJM, Mangalore. 3. Learned DSG therefore, submits that if the petitioner were to furnish a copy of the order dated 17.11.2018 that the Execution Case has been closed, the respondent-Regional Passport Officer will reconsider the application filed by the petitioner and pass necessary orders. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent-Regional Passport Officer, Mangalore D.K, to reconsider the case of the petitioner while the petitioner is also directed to furnish certified copy of the order dated 17.11.2018 passed in Ex.Case No.87/2017. As and when the certified copy is furnished by the petitioner to the first respondent, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:7692 WP No. 4098 of 2025 one week from the date of production of the certified copy.
