VENKATA DURGA RAO ANANTHA The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus directing for fresh or de novo or reinvestigation in connection with Crime No. 598/2011 registered at Guntur Rural Police Station (Nallapadu), Guntur and consequently direct the investigation to be transferred to any other Competent Investigating Agency under the Supervision and Control of Respondent No.4, or direct the Respondent no.2 AND 3 to act progressively and take necessary steps pursuant to the above said crime and also direct for compensation to the Petitioner.” 2. Sri Nuthalapati Mohan, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner is seeking de novo investigation in Crime No.598 of 2011 on the file of Guntur Rural (Nallapadu) Police Station. Learned counsel would further submit that, Police filed a Memo in C.No.236/Refer/SDPO- 3 SOUTH/2011, dated 10.01.2012 by referring the case as ‘false’. Thereafter, the Petitioner filed a protest petition before the concerned Magistrate’s Court and the same was taken cognizance and C.C number was also given. 3. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, would submit that the petition may be disposed of since the relief sought has become infructuous. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
