By way of present petition, the petitioner has sought following main relief(s):
“A. That respondent No.4 and 5 may kindly be directed to certified the name of the petitioner from beat No.3 of the forest range Majra as per his ancestral Land in the beat No.3 in the interest of justice. B. That respondent May kindly be directed to appoint the petitioner to the post of Van Miter in the Forest range Koller in beat No. 3 being a local resident of the said beat. C. That direction to the result of the Van Miter of beat No.3 may kindly be declare by considering the petitioner from beat No.3 of the forest Range Koller may kindly be issued.”
2. Grievance of the petitioner is that he has applied for appointment as Van Mitra. His land is situate under Beat No.3 and as such, he claims

Petitioner alleges that for extraneous reasons, result of selection process for the post of Van Mitra qua Beat No.3 is not being declared, whereas, result qua other beats in same Forest Range has been declared. 3. Since the petitioner has already filed a representation (Annexure P- 5) to respondent No.5, which is still pending, without going into the merits of case, present petition is disposed of with a direction to afore respondent to decide representation (Annexure P-5), within two weeks, especially taking note of Clause G(III) of Scheme for engagement of ‘Van Mitra’ in Himachal Pradesh Forest Department’ approved by the CMM, as conveyed vide communication dated 18.10.2023. Said respondent would also look into the allegation of the petitioner qua issue of certificate of land of petitioner being situate within feeder area of beat No.3. If required, petitioner shall be given a personal hearing. Order passed on the representation shall be conveyed to the petitioner.
Petitioner shall be at liberty to approach appropriate court of law, if he still remains aggrieved. Petition stands disposed of in the afore terms. All pending applications stand disposed of. (Sandeep Sharma), Judge June 4, 2025 (Vikrant)
