PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: ORDER: Criminal Petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity, “BNSS”) by the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 4, seeking to quash the proceedings against them in C.C. No.743 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial First Class Magistrate (Special Mobile Court), Ananthapuramu, registered for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 85, 118(1) and 351(2) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity, the „BNS) and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (for brevity, „the D.P. Act‟). 2. Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. 3. The Petitioners and Respondent No.2 are present. Pursuant to the directions of this Court, a Mediator was appointed, who has submitted a mediation report stating that Petitioner/Accused No.1 and Respondent No.2 have amicably settled the dispute and that Respondent No.2 is willing to resume cohabitation with Petitioner/Accused No.1.
