The present Public Interest Litigation was initiated regarding the major and minor repair of School buildings situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh and the finacial budget allocated for that purpose. 2. The various affidavits have been filed and it had also been noticed that on 07.11.2023, very small budgetary provisions had been made for 2023-2024 of Rs.2.5 Crores. Though minor 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 repairs are required in 3034 classrooms and major repairs are required in 1512 classrooms. 3. On 11.06.2024, the Coordinate Bench had noticed that there is substantial progress; and that repairs, both minor as well as major, have been done substantially and only for a small quantity of classroom’s, repairs are yet to be done. It had also been observed that balance classroom’s repairs would be done as early as possible preferably by 31st August, 2024. It is submitted that other certain details were asked for and eventually vide order dated 20.05.2025, we had noticed that the fund allocated/utilized in respect of all Government High Schools and Government Senior Secondary Schools was Rs.40,32,54,238/- and the share of Government High School was Rs.7,13,80,839/- and fund allocated/utilized for Government Senior Secondary Schools was Rs.33,18,73,399/-. 4. Accordingly, we had asked for fresh status report as to how the funds have been utilized or lapsed. The State had submitted the necessary information as how the utilization of the above said amount has been done vide communication dated 05.07.2025 showing the break-up as such of the funds utilized of Rs.40,32,54,238/-. 3 5. In view of the above, we feel that substantial progress has been made by passing orders and the State has planned its action and therefore, closure has to be given to the said proceedings. Ordered accordingly. 6. Resultantly, the present Public Interest Litigation stands disposed off accordingly. Pending miscellaneous application(s) if any, are also disposed off. (G.S.
