ORDER The case on pertains to conduct of Aavani festival for the petition mentioned temple. The petitioner alleges that his group is being excluded from the celebration. 2.This allegation is firmly denied by the private respondents. 3.In order to ensure that the event is passes off peacefully, the following directions are issued:- (a) The karagam will be lifted and carried only by the temple priest (Muniyandi, S/o.Magakalli) and not by anybody else. 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

(c) It is made clear that nobody shall be excluded from participating in the event. (d) The jurisdictional Inspector of Police apprehends that law and
order issue may crop up and to avoid the same, she has suggested certain precautionary steps to be taken. Acceding to her suggestion, it is directed that no person shall be offered any shawl or towel. The event is being conducted by the entire village and no individual person shall be given credit. In the the mike, no individual name should be mentioned. (e) Since the private respondents in this writ petition have agreed to abide by any direction that may be issued by the jurisdictional police for smooth conduct of the event, they are permitted to hold Sri Valli Thirumanam drama and Veerapandiya Kattabomman drama. As regards Veerapandiya Kattabomman drama, it shall be wound up by 10.00 pm sharply on 10.09.2025. The organizers will ensure that the decibel level of the amplifiers do not exceed the permitted standards. 4.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
