The present Writ Petition (M/S) No. 3111 of 2025 has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with the following prayer: “(i) To issue a writ or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the learned First Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dehradun to expedite the proceedings of Rent Control Appeal (R.C.A.) No. 20 of 2024, Smt. Hema Nangia and Ors. vs. Sanjeev Goyal, pending before the said Court, and to decide the same within such time-bound period as may be fixed by this Hon’ble Court.” 3. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner. 4. During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the Petitioner fairly submitted that he confines his prayer only to the extent that the present Writ Petition may be disposed of with a direction to the learned Court below to decide the aforesaid case as expeditiously as possible within a stipulated time. 5. The prayer so made appears to be innocuous. 6. Considering the limited prayer made, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the pending case, the Writ Petition(M/S) is disposed of with a direction to the learned First Additional District and Sessions Judge, 2025:UHC:10179 Dehradun to make an earnest endeavour to decide the Rent Control Appeal (R.C.A.) No. 20 of 2024, “Smt.
