1. Heard learned counsel for applicant and Shri Rajeev Kumar Verma, learned AGA for the State.
2. The present application for anticipatory bail has been filed for protection in regard to F.I.R./Case Crime No. 0264/2025, U/ Sec-85 & 80 of B.N.S. Act, 2023 & Section-3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station-Ghunghter, District Barabanki.
3. Perused the record.
4. On perusal of the record, it is evident that the deceased died within 14 months of her marriage under unnatural circumstances in the house of the applicant, who is her father-in-law. The complainant, in his statement under Section 161 Cr.P.C., has specifically levelled allegations against the applicant. There is nothing on record to indicate that the applicant was residing separately from the deceased; only a mere averment has been made in this regard.

Having regard to the gravity of the offence and the nature of the crime, and without entering into the merits of the case, it cannot be said that it is a case of false implication only to tarnishing the applicant’s reputation. This is not a case where the extraordinary jurisdiction under Section 482 BNSS can be invoked. Versus Counsel for Applicant(s) : Shishir Pradhan Counsel for Opposite Party(s) : G.A.
