Dharam Pal Vs. Lalit Kumar Cr. Revision No. 264 of 2024 04.06.2025 Present: Mr. Servedaman Rathore, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Ashok Kumar Tyagi, Advocate, for the respondent. Cr.MP No. 2234 of 2025 By way of instant application, prayer has been made on behalf of applicant/petitioner for grant of extension of time to furnish bail bonds in compliance of order dated 10.07.2024, whereby this Court, while suspending the substantive sentence imposed by learned Court below, directed applicant/petitioner to deposit 50% of the compensation amount and furnish personal bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of learned trial Court, within a period of six weeks. Record reveals that though in terms of aforesaid order, 50% of the compensation amount was deposited and thereafter, application under Section 147 of Negotiable Instruments Act has also been filed by the applicant/petitioner, praying therein to compound the offence on the ground that he is ready and willing to pay the entire compensation amount and matter has been listed before National Lok Adalat for compromise, but till date petitioner has not furnished personal bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety in the like amount. Now apprehending arrest, applicant-petitioner has filed instant application. Learned counsel for the non-applicant- respondent, while fairly acknowledging factum with regard to depositing of 50% of the compensation amount and compromise arrived inter se parties, fairly states that he shall have no option in case prayer made in the instant application is allowed. For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and further one week’s time, as prayed for, is granted to the applicant/petitioner to furnish personal bond in terms of order dated 10.07.2024, failing which, necessary consequences shall follow.
