ORAL ORDER
In the captioned writ petition, the petitioner is seeking to implement the order dated 06.11.2024 passed by respondent No.2 - The Special Deputy Commissioner, which is evidenced at Annexure-F.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGA.
3. The petitioner is aggrieved by inaction on the part of the respondents in not mutating the name of the petitioner based on the Grant Order dated 24.08.1961. The petitioner is tracing right and title through his father in whose favor the Grant Order was made pertaining to the petition land.
4. The records also reveal that the grant obtained by the petitioner’s father was subjected to enquiry under Section 136(3) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act at the hands of respondent No.2 - Special Deputy Commissioner.

5. After due enquiry, respondent No.2 - the Special Deputy Commissioner has opined that the grant obtained by the petitioner's father is genuine Consequently, the direction is issued to respondent No.4 - Tahasildar to mutate the name of the petitioner herein in respect of the petition land. This order is dated 06.11.2024.
6. Learned HCGP, on instructions, assured this Court that pursuant to dropping of the proceedings by respondent No.2 - the Special Deputy Commissioner and directions issued by the Authority, respondent No.4 - Tahasildar will implement the order and ensure that the petitioner's name is reflected in the RTC relating to the petition land.
7. Recording his assurance, this Court proceeds to pass the following;
ORDER (i) The writ petition is allowed.
(ii) Respondent No.4 – Tahasildar is hereby directed to take cognizance

of the directions issued by respondent No.2 - Special Deputy Commissioner, which is evidenced at Annexure-F and effect change of katha thereby mutating the petitioner’s name to the petition land.
(iii) This exercise shall be accomplished within a period of two months from the date of receipt of order copy.
