The present anticipatory bail application has been filed seeking anticipatory bail in case crime No. 534/2025, under Sections 80/85 BNS and Section 3/4 D.P. Act, P.S. Kotwali Sadar, District Unnao. 2. Heard learned counsel for the applicant as well as learned AGA for respondents Nos. 1 and 2. 3. Notice to respondent no. 3 is dispensed with in view of the proposed order. 4. In the FIR, it is alleged that the informant’s daughter, Muskan, was married to the applicant’s son two years ago. Sufficient dowry was given at the time of marriage. However, within 15 days, her husband, along with her mother-in-law and brother-in-law, began demanding an Apache motorcycle as additional dowry. It is further alleged that on 28.06.2025, the victim’s husband, Amir Khan, took her from Hardoi to her matrimonial home at Unnao. On 30.06.2025, when the informant tried to speak with his daughter, her husband answered the call and stated that since the Apache motorcycle had not been given, he would not allow her to talk. Later the same night, around 11:00 p.m., the Chowki Incharge, Kashiram Colony, Unnao, informed the informant that his daughter had committed suicide. The allegation is that the victim was done to death by her in-laws on account of dowry demand. Versus Counsel for Applicant(s) : Sanjeev Trivedi, Mohd. Shahid Chaudhary Counsel for Opposite Party(s) : G.A. Noori .....Applicant(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home And Another .....Opposite Party(s) 5. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant, being the mother-in-law of the deceased, has been falsely implicated in this case and she has no criminal antecedents. As per the prosecution case, there are no allegations of dowry demand or cruelty inflicted upon the deceased soon before her death. 6. On the other hand, learned AGA has opposed the bail application, submitting that the cause of death is asphyxia due to antemortem hanging. The deceased died within two years of her marriage. 7. Perused the record. 8. Considering the grievous nature of the offence and the allegations made in the prosecution case against the applicant, it cannot be said to be a case of false implication. 9. Accordingly, no ground for anticipatory bail is made out, and the bail application stands dismissed. September 2, 2025 R.C. NABAIL No. 1143 of 2025 2 (Karunesh Singh Pawar,J.)
