COMING ON FOR ADMISSION, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, petitioner has sought for the following relief:- " Wherefore, the petitioner most respectfully pray that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to quash the entire proceedings in C.C.No.7820/2024 arising out of Crime No.637/2023 registered by Parappana Agrahara Police Station against the petitioner for the offence p/u/s 506, 507 of IPC pending on the file of the learned IX Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru (vide Annexure A), in the interest of justice." - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:22336 CRL.P No. 1799 of 2025 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned HCGP for respondent No.1 and perused the material on record. The respondent No.2 is served and un-represented. 3. A perusal of the material on record will indicate that the petitioner was a BBA Graduate at Jain College, Belagavi and had secured a job at Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) through Campus selection and after some time, she resigned the said job to pursue her MBA. After completing her MBA, when she did not get any job, she approached her former employer, i.e. TCS, who refused to give her a job stating that they would not take back the employees who have quit their organization. 4. Thereafter, she was summoned by the respondent No.1 - Police on the basis of a complaint lodged by the Officer of the TCS, stating that they received phone calls from a woman from two mobile numbers informing that Bombs were placed in that Company and that the said mobile numbers belonged to - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:22336 CRL.P No. 1799 of 2025 the petitioner, as a result of which, the respondent No.1 registered the impugned FIR in Crime No.637/2023 on 14.11.2023, for the offences punishable under Sections 506 and 507 of IPC, which was investigated into and presently, charge sheet having been filed, the same is presently pending in C.C.No.7820/2024 before the learned IX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru vide Annexure A. 5. In this context, a perusal of the complaint, FIR, charge sheet material, statement of witnesses, documents, etc., is sufficient to come to the conclusion that necessary ingredients constituting the aforesaid offences are conspicuously absent and the petitioner cannot be said to be guilty of the aforesaid offences, as alleged by the respondents. 6. Under these circumstances, the continuation of the impugned proceedings against the petitioner would amount to abuse of the process of law, warranting interference in the present petition. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:22336 CRL.P No. 1799 of 2025 7. In the result petition, I pass the following: ORDER i. The Criminal Petition is hereby allowed; ii. The impugned proceedings pending in C.C.No.7820/2024 (arising out of Crime No.637/2023), initiated by Parappana Agrahara Police Station, Bangalore, pending on the file of the IX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru, vide Annexure A, for the offences punishable under Sections 506 and 507 of IPC, qua the petitioner herein/accused, is hereby quashed.
