THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION NO: 10746/2025 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the 5th respondent at behest of 6th respondent is interfering in the personal liberty and disturbing the peace of the petitioner and pressurizing the petitioner to settle and to terminate the marital ties with the 6th respondent.
3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is facing allegations under Section 85 of BNS and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, on the file of Penumantra Police Station vide Crime No.46 of 2025 registered against the petitioner. It is submitted that the police are not interfering in the civil disputes nor the police are pressurizing the petitioner to settle with the 6th respondent. However, the petitioner is called only to serve notice under Section 35(3) of BNSS for the purpose of investigation of crime.
4. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
