Mr. Ajay Veer Pundir, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Ganesh Kandpal, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. According to petitioner, he was initially engaged as Seasonal Collection Amin in Tehsil Vikasnagar of District Dehradun in the year 1997 and he was engaged from time to time in different Collection Season; however, of late, his claim for re-engagement is not being considered. Petitioner’s claim for regularisation, on the post of Collection Amin, has been rejected by District Magistrate, Dehradun. Petitioner has challenged the rejection order in this writ petition. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that petitioner is giving-up challenge to the rejection order passed by District Magistrate and the writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the Competent Authority to consider his claim for re-engagement, as Seasonal employee. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that work and performance of petitioner has been satisfactory throughout and his target of revenue collection is also much above the average of other Seasonal Collection Amins, therefore, the Competent Authority be 2025:UHC:10088 directed to consider petitioner’s claim for re-engagement as Seasonal employee. 6. Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if petitioner is permitted to approach the Competent Authority. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to approach the Competent Authority by making a representation for his re- engagement. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, the Competent Authority shall consider petitioner’s claim and pass appropriate order, as per law, within six weeks from the date of presentation of such representation along with certified copy of this order.
