Heard Shri Lalji Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGA for the State. 2. This petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the opposite party No. 2&3 not to harass or torture the Petitioner without any rhyme or reason as petitioner is not an accused of the any criminal case." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is no FIR against the petitioner. Even then the petitioner is being harassed only on account of the FIR against the cousin of the petitioner. 4. Learned AGA, on the basis of instructions dated 29.08.2025 received from Shri Ramesh Kumar Verma, Sub-Inspector, Police Station-Lalganj, District Pratapgarh, which has been produced before this Court and taken on record, submits that the petitioner is not being harassed in pursuance of the FIR Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Lalji Yadav Counsel for Respondent(s) : G.A. Sanjay Patel .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Deptt. Of Home And 2 Others .....Respondent(s) against the cousin of the petitioner. The false and baseless allegations have been levelled against the police. 5. In view of above, the petition is disposed of in terms of the statement of learned AGA for the State on the basis of instructions dated 29.08.2025.
