JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 04.08.2025 [1] Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. Rinika Maibam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2] At the outset, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Principal Secretary/Commissioner/Secretary (Fisheries), Government of Manipur, the Principal Secretary/Commissioner/Secretary (Finance), Government of Manipur and the Director of Fisheries, Government of Manipur to consider the representation dated 11.07.2025 submitted by the writ petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules and guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. [3] Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners is KABOR AMBAM SAPAN A CHANU Digitally signed by KABORAMBAM SAPANA CHANU Date: 2025.08.04 15:06:11 +05'30' Page 2 confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by the petitioners, she has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners. [4] Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice and to dispose of this writ petition by issuing the following directions:- 1) The Administrative Secretary (Fisheries), Government of Manipur and the Director of Fisheries, Government of Manipur are hereby directed to consider the said representation dated 11.07.2025 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules and guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order; 2) The whole process should be completed within a period of 3 (three) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
