Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondent Nos. 1 to 5 and perused the record. 2. This writ petition has been filed by petitioner with following main prayer: "(I). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties nos.1 and 2 to conduct the high level enquiry of development work as well as other works conducted by opposite party no. 6 in MANREGA Scheme between 16.05.2021 to 31.03.2025 in village Panchayat Village Mawaebhan, Tehsil Safipur, district Unnao." 3. The petitioner is aggrieved by financial and other irregularities committed by the Gram Pradhan of Village Mawaebhan, Tehsil Safipur, district Unnao. The petitioner had made a representation to the District Magistrate and prays that the petition be disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate to decide the complaint of the petitioner. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has pointed out that the petitioner has a statutory remedy under The Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Removal of Pradhans, Up-Pradhans, and Members) Enquiry Rules, 1997. 5. This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to move an appropriate application duly supported by affidavit under 1997 Rules within two weeks from today. If such an application is made, the District Magistrate concerned shall take appropriate steps to consider and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law.
