HON'BLE MANJIVE SHUKLA, J.
1. Heard Shri Abhyudaya Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri Shailendra Singh Chauhan, learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos.2 to 5 and learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing for the State. 2. The instant writ petition, in the form of a public interest litigation, has been filed seeking therein, the following reliefs:

3. The petitioner in the instant writ petition, in respect of his credentials, has only stated that he is a resident of Lucknow (Zone -6 Alamnagar) and is a social worker. Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Abhyudaya Mishra Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Namit Sharma, Shailendra Singh Chauhan Mukesh Kumar .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Deptt. Of Urban Development Lko. And 4 Others .....Respondent(s)
4. Shri S. S. Chauhan, learned counsel for the respondent nos.2 to 5 has raised objection regarding maintainability of this public interest litigation on the ground that the petitioner has not disclosed his credentials. He has further submitted that it appears to be a proxy petition. 5. We have perused the contents of the writ petition filed by the petitioner and we find that only a vague averment has been made that the petitioner is a resident of Lucknow (Zone-6 Alamnagar) and he is a social worker. There is no description regarding his credentials. 6. We are of the view that by now it is well settled proposition of law that while filing the writ petition in the form of public interest litigation, the petitioner has to disclose his credentials in detail, whereas, in the present petition except the bald statement that the petitioner is a social worker, there are no credentials in the writ petition.
In absence of credentials of the petitioner, we are unable to entertain this writ petition. 7. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. However, it is made clear that our order shall not be read and understood as justifying any action of the respondents. August 29, 2025 akhilesh/- WPIL No. 891 of 2025 2 (Manjive Shukla,J.)
