(2) Petitioner was serving as Upper Mukhya Nagar Adhikari in Nagar Nigam, Dehradun. He retired on 31.5.2015. Since his retiral dues were not released after retirement, therefore, he filed this writ petition in 2016 seeking the following relief: “(i) a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent No. 2 to immediate fix and release all past retired benefits of petitioner, including complete pension and gratuity and other benefits also with compound interest computed at the rate of 18% per annum.” (3) Mr. Arvind Vashistha, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner, makes a statement that during pendency of writ petition, all retiral benefits have been released in favour of the petitioner and, now, nothing remains to be paid.
