[2] The common prayers in the two writ petitions are that the petitioners are the applicants for the post of Assistant Professor (Sociology) in DMU against the OBC(MP) seat. Initially when the result was declared, no appointment was made against the OBC(MP) quota in the Sociology. Later on, vide order dated 18.07.2024, the post of Sociology was increased to 7 from the earlier 4 i.e. UR-4, OBC(M)-1, OBC(MP)-1 and ST-1. However, only 6 (six) candidates have been recommended in the Sociology and no candidate against 1 OBC(MP) quota was recommended. [3] In the circumstances, the petitioners approached this Court with similar prayer of directing the official respondents to consider eligible OBC(MP) candidates for one seat OBC(MP) included in the order dated 18.07.2024 in Sociology, which was kept vacant. [4] During the course of hearing, Mr. M. Devananda, learned Addl. A.G., submits that writ petitions may be disposed of by giving liberty to the State respondent to consider eligible OBC(MP) candidate for one seat of Assistant Professor OBC(MP) in Sociology as per rule. [5] Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners agree with the proposal submitted by the learned Addl. A.G. [6] Recording the submissions made at the bar, writ petitions i.e. WP(C) Nos. 610 of 2024 & 819 of 2024 are disposed of by giving liberty to the official respondents to consider the case of eligible OBC(MP) candidates for one post of Assistant Professor (Sociology) in DMU against the category of OBC(MP). [7] Earlier interim order dated 29.08.2024 is vacated. All pending applications stand disposed of. [8] With this observation, writ petitions are disposed of. Misc. applications are also disposed of.
