Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Present petition has been filed for the following relief: "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the opposite parties to conduct the free and fair allotment proceeding of the license/dealer of the fair price shop of village panchayat Pachhiyana, Block Tarun, Tehsil Bikapur, District Ayodhya in between the self help groups/candidates by way of open meeting and lawful voting of the Gaon Sabha in terms of the direction dated 27.7.2025 passed by the District Magistrate, Ayodhya (Annexure No.3)." 3. Learned Standing Counsel, based upon instructions, states that letters have already been written for the approval of District Magistrate which is required before any self help group can participate for seeking allotment. The said approval is still awaited. 4.
