The present writ petition has been filed with the following prayers :- "(i) issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 03.01.2025 passed by Joint Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar, Varanasi in Appeal No. 25 of 2024, annexure no. 9 to this writ petition. (ii) issue writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 to renewal of his Arm License No. 4616/Cholapur, S.B.B.L., Gun No. BE 784-04/12 Bore and Unique I.D. No. 330310012586042015, within stipulated period." 3. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State has objected that against the impugned order petitioner has a remedy of filing an appeal under Rule 107 of the Arms Rules, 2016. 4. In view of the fact that petitioner has a remedy of filing an appeal, the writ petition is not maintainable and is dismissed accordingly.
