By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: - (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari to call for record of the case and quash the impugned decision of selection committee dated 17.10.2025 (Annexure No. 4). (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding official respondents to re-examine the performance of all the participants by constituting a committee of experts ensuring fair and uniform enforcement of competition rules under the NCERT Guidelines in the District Level Solo-Classical Singing Competition held at Almora Inter College, Almora on 17.10.2025. (iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents to review and re-evaluate the results of the District Level Solo-Classical Singing Competition held on 17.10.2025 at Almora Inter College, Almora and to take appropriate corrective action before the commencement of the State Level Competition, so that the Petitioner’s rightful participation is not prejudiced. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made a 2025:UHC:9938 representation to Chief Education Officer, Almora, who may be directed to take decision thereupon. 5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed with a direction to Chief Education Officer, Almora to take decision on petitioner’s representation, as per law, within four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
