The present appeal has been filed against the judgment and award dated 08.03.2013 passed by the M.A.C.T/District Judge, Udham Singh Nagar (Rudrapur) in Motor Accident Claim Petition No. 99 of 2011, “Arvind Kumar @ Avnindra Kumar vs. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation and others” by which the appellant has sought the enhancement of the amount in addition to the awarded amount in the memorandum of appeal. 2 3. The matter was listed before the Daily Lok Adalat. Both the parties have settled their matter and they have filed their amicable settlement (compromise) before the Daily Lok Adalat which runs as under:- “Parties arrived on compromise as follows: - Today in daily Lok Adalat the above mentioned case was listed and during conversation, both the parties agreed to settle their dispute amicably and decided in addition to the award enhanced. The amount to the tune of Rs. 9,00,000/- (Rupees Nine Lakh only) lump sum. The respondent i.e. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation Nainital through its authorized officer shall deposit the enhance claim amount Rs. 9,00,000/- lump sum in addition to the award within a four week from the date of receiving of the certified copy of the order.
