Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents and perused the record. 2. By means of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief : "(i). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to take appropriate steps for disposal of the application filed by the petitioners under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction o f Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 vide Case No.4219 of 2024 (Misc. CRN No.202410460004219 bearing Case title Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd vs. Furniture Gallery and others" preferably within a time to be fixed by the Hon'ble Court." 3. It is the case of the petitioner that for recovery of loan dues, the bank had made an application under Section 14 of SARFAESI Act to the District Magistrate, Lucknow which has not yet been decided. 4. Learned Standing Counsel on the basis of instructions states that the next date fixed in the matter is 09.09.2025. 5. This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Lucknow to decide the aforesaid application of the petitioner either on the date fixed i.e. 09.09.2025 or within four weeks thereafter.
