This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in taking a decision on the application of the petitioner bearing No.1016941567 regarding temporary electricity connection. 3. Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that with regard to the above grievance, the petitioner has already submitted a representation to the respondent No.2 on December 12, 2024 but no decision has yet been taken. He prays that the aforesaid representation of the petitioner may be directed to be decided expeditiously. 4. Upon hearing the counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and perusing the record, we are of the view that the prayer of the petitioner is innocuous and may be granted. 5. Accordingly, the respondent No.2, being the Executive Engineer, City Electricity Distribution Division, Tagore Town, Prayagraj, is directed to consider and take a decision on the representation of the petitioner dated December 12, 2024 in accordance with law within a period of ten weeks from date. An opportunity of hearing should be granted to the petitioner before passing a reasoned order. 6. With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
