Mr. Bhupendra Singh Bisht, Advocate, for the petitioners. Mr. Narayan Datt, Standing Counsel, for the State. (2) Petitioners were appointed as Constable (Ministerial) in police department. According to them, they were subsequently promoted as Assistant Sub Inspector (Ministerial) on different dates. Petitioners claim that they are entitled to Grade Pay of ₹4800 w.e.f. 1.1.2009, as per the Government Order dated 27.7.2015 and 15.6.2018, which according to them is arbitrarily denied to them. By means of these writ petitions, petitioners have sought a direction to the respondents to pay them enhanced Grade Pay of ₹4600 and Grade pay of ₹4800 w.e.f. 1.1.2009 with all consequential benefits at par with incumbents, directly recruited on the post of Sub Inspector. (3) Learned State Counsel, however, disputes the submission made by learned Counsel for the petitioners that petitioners are entitled to Grade Pay of ₹4800. (4) Since petitioners have sought a direction to grant a particular benefit and 2025:UHC:10085 they have also made representation before the competent authority staking claim for such benefit, therefore, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met if petitioners are perm itted to make detailed fresh representation to the Director General of Police. If petitioners make such representation within three weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken within six months thereafter, by passing a speaking and reasoned order. 5. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
