The present writ petition has been preferred with the prayer to quash the FIR dated 14.07.2023 registered as Case Crime No. 1006 of 2023 under Section 135-1(a) of Indian Electricity Act (Amended) 2003 at Police Station - Anti Power Theft, Deoria, District - Deoria, and for a direction to the respondents not to arrest the petitioner in pursuance of impugned First Information Report 3. The petitioner has been implicated under section 135 of Electricity Act which is compoundable offence. 4. The petition is disposed of directing that in case the petitioner applies for compounding of the offence alleged before the court below within period of one month from today, he shall not be arrested for a period of six months or till the conclusion of compounding proceedings before the court below, whichever is earlier.
