The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a direction to respondent No.2 to renew the lease in respect of the property bearing No.69-1-87/1, measuring 120’x128’ situated at Viveknagar Main Road, Bengaluru, which was leased to the petitioner for LPG godown. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that the lease would come to an end by the end of this month (February- 2025) and if the same is not renewed, the petitioner would have to shut down the LPG godown and this would severely prejudice his right, though he has secured a license to have an LPG godown. 3. The learned counsel submits that respondent Nos.1 and 2 has published the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (Estate Management) Rules, 2024 (for short, ‘the Rules’) which has prescribed the procedure for grant and renewal of lease. He submits that the - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:6077 WP No. 3202 of 2025 request of the petitioner is being processed under the Rules and some time would be required to complete the entire process. 4. In light of the said submission, it would be appropriate to direct respondent No.2 to consider the request of the petitioner to renew the license within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
