Page No.# 2/2 This matter is listed after completion of the service of notice upon the sole respondent as indicated in the order of the Lawazima Court dated 01.09.2025. This is an application praying for impleadment of the liquidator appointed under Section 95(1) of the Assam Cooperative Societies Act, 2007 in the connected writ petition being WP(C) 2534/2017. The applicant has filed the connected writ petition challenging the order dated 07.10.2016 passed by the Employees Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal in Case No. ATA 261 (2) 2013. During the pendency, one Shri Mohon Teron, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies has been appointed as a Liquidator of Assam State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Limited (ASCARD BANK). It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that in order to adjudicate the issues involved in the writ petition, it would be necessary to implead the liquidator of the said bank as the party respondents. Having considered that the liquidator of ASCARD Bank appears to be necessary party for the proper adjudication of the issues involved in the connected writ petition, I deem it appropriate to allow this application. Accordingly, Sri Mohon Teron, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies Cooperative and the liqluidator for the ASCARD Bank is allowed to be impleaded as respondent No.3.
