In terms of the order dated 8th August, 2025 an affidavit of compliance is filed by the alleged contemnors and same is taken on record. 2. Mr. Shiv Shankar Banerjee, learned advocate representing alleged contemnor nos. 1 to 5 submits that in terms of the order dated 29th April, 2024 passed in the connected writ petition being WPA 18729 of 2019 a decision was taken by the Chairman of Bhatpara Municipality and same was communicated to the Additional Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Urban Development 2 and Municipal Affairs vide memo dated 11th February, 2025 for making payments. 3. On perusal of this memo dated 11th February, 2025 it appears that in terms of the order dated 29th April, 2024 Chairman of Bhatpara Municipality being alleged contemnor no. 1 took decision on the claim of the petitioner which requires implementation with the assistance of the concerned authorities of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department. 4. In view of taking decision in terms of the order dated 29th April, 2024 by alleged contemnor no. 1 contempt application is disposed of and contempt proceeding stands dropped. 5. However, leave is granted to the applicant to take steps in accordance with law based on the decision taken by the alleged contemnor no. 1 as emanates from memo dated 11th February, 2025. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
