Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:46512 Court No. - 6 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 8039 of 2024 Petitioner :- Mohd Ayyub Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Food And Civil Supplies Lko And 5 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Satish Kumar Sharma Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Mohan Singh Hon'ble Pankaj Bhatia,J. 1. Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging that the wife of the petitioner was a fair price shop dealer and died sometime in the year 2014. Subsequently, the petitioner being the husband had applied for being appointed on compassionate grounds. The request of the petitioner was turned down on 16.07.2016 against which the petitioner preferred an appeal which too was dismissed on 25.06.2024. 3. Considering the fact that the entire purpose of appointment under dying in harness rules is to tide off the immediate financial hardship faced by the family and admittedly the petitioner's wife had died in the year 2014, there is no material to come to the conclusion that hardship faced by the family on account of the death would be continued for such a long time, no good ground is made out. 4. The petition is dismissed. Order Date :- 8.8.2025 VNP/- Digitally signed by :- VISHVANATH PRASAD SHUKLA High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
