P. -------- 02/ Dated 28.07.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Lesliganj P.S. Case No. 05 of 2025, POCSO Case No.31 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 127(2), 70(2) and 61(2) of the B.N.S and Section 6 of the POCSO Act, pending in the court of learned Exclusive Special Judge, POCSO Act, Palamau at Daltonganj. On 16.01.2025 at about 4:20 p.m., the prosecutrix was looking for her lost goat. When she reached near Bichali Hills, the petitioner and co-accused persons intercepted her. They gagged her mouth and took her to an isolated place and tied her hands. Thereafter co-accused Manauar Ansari raped her. The statement of the victim has been recorded during trial and she has fully supported the prosecution case. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in her statement before the Court, the victim has stated that petitioner had standing at the place of occurrence. It was further submitted that the trial is under progress and it will not be proper to analyze the statement of the victim at this stage. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
