According to petitioner, respondent no. 5 has purchased agricultural land in Village Dabki Kalan, Laksar, District Haridwar, by means of a registered sale deed dated 27.10.2020; even though he is not eligible to purchase such land in view of Sections 152A and 154 of Uttarakhand Zamidari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made representation to District Magistrate, Haridwar, who may be directed to take decision thereupon. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that representation, if made, shall be dealt with, as per law. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to District Magistrate, Haridwar to consider petitioner’s representation dated 28.08.2024 (Annexure No. 4 to the writ petition) and take appropriate decision, as per law, within six months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. It is made clear that respondent no. 5 shall be given reasonable opportunity of hearing before taking any decision.
