On 18.11.2025, in this first appeal, on behalf of the appellant, it was submitted that since parties have amicably settled the dispute, the appellant does not want to pursue with the case. Accordingly, the appeal was disposed of. Now, Modification Application, MCC No.2 of 2025, has been the filed on the ground that, in fact, parties have entered into an agreement on 08.12.2025, and they have dissolved their marriage; the appellant has paid Rs. 31 Lakhs to the respondent; the settlement deed has been filed as Annexure No.1 to the modification application. The appellant is present in person before the Court and the respondent has joined the proceedings through video conferencing, as identified by their respective counsel. They have verified the settlement deed, which is part of Annexure No.1 to the modification application. Both the appellant and the respondent submit that they have mutually settled the dispute; the respondent admits that she has received Rs. 31 Lakhs from the appellant; both have admitted that they have decided to dissolve their marriage. The settlement deed, which is part of Annexure No.1 to the modification application, shall form part of the order dated 18.11.2025. The modification application stands disposed of, accordingly.
