The grievance of the Petitioner is that he is entitled for regularization of his services in the year 2000 on completion of 240 days, however he was regularized only in the year 2005. Had he been regularized in the year 2000 itself, he would have obtained the pensionary benefits. Therefore, the Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a mandamus. 2. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that since the Petitioner has been regularized in the year 2005, the Respondent- Corporation is not providing the pension and are referring to the New Pension Scheme. The learned counsel appearing for the Respondent-Corporation submitted that the Petitioner was regularized only in the year 2005 and therefore, he is not entitled for any pensionary benefits. 4. This Court has considered the rival submissions advanced by the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Counsel for the Respondents and perused all the materials available on record. 5. The Petitioner claims that he ought to have been regularized in the year 2000 and in the event, if he has been regularized in the year 2000, he is entitled for pension benefits. The Petitioner further claims that in this regard, he has already made a representation and the same is yet to be considered. The Respondents have to take a decision on this representation, on the Petitioner's eligibility for regularization in the year 2000.
