Saikia, learned counsel for the applicant, who submits that Page No.# 2/2 there is a delay of 26 days in filing the appeal against the impugned judgment and decree dated 23.04.2025 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court No.1, Kamrup(M) at Guwahati in F.C.(C) No.933/2022, whereby the petition filed by the applicant under Section 13(1)(ia) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 praying for dissolution of marriage by a decree of divorce has been dismissed. The applicant’s counsel submits that the applicant could not submit the appeal on time due to the applicant being a very sick person undergoing medical treatment. As such, the delay of 26 days has occurred due to the medical reason. from On considering the grounds of delay in filing the appeal, we find that sufficient cause for the delay has been made out.
