Gogoi, learned counsel for the Forest Department as well as Ms. N. Upadhyay, learned counsel for the respondent No. 4. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved with the Forest Department having permitted the collection/mining of sand from the river running though the petitioner’s patta land. 3. Mr. R. R. Gogoi, learned counsel for the Forest Department submits that the validity of the mining permit/licence that had been granted to the respondent No. 4, expired on 26.05.2022 and as on date, no mining activity is going on in the river which is flowing through the land of the petitioner. As such, the writ petition has become infructuous. 4. Ms. N. Upadhyay, learned counsel for the respondent No. 4 also makes the same submission. 5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsels for the parties, this writ petition stands closed as infructuous. 6. Interim order passed earlier stands vacated. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
