The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following relief(s):- 10.1 That the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of certiorari or appropriate writ directing the respondent authorities, particularly the respondent No. 5 to release the amount of supplementary award Rs.2,76,642/- with Digitally signed by RAMESH KUMAR VATTI Date: 2025.09.02 12:57:16 +0530
2 interest @ 18% from the date of acquisition of land to the petitioner within stipulated time. 10.2 That, any other reliefs which this Hon’ble High Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case be also granted to the petitioner in the interest of justice. 2. Mr. Syed Affque Hussain Rizvi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would fairly submit that supplementary award and additional sum of Rs.2,76,642/ has been awarded and paid to the petitioner. He would contend that interest on the said amount has not been paid by the authority concerned. 3. On the other learned counsel appearing for the respective respondents would submit that the petitioner may approach the Land Acquisition Officer making representation claiming therein interest component. 4. Heard learned counsels for the parties. 5.
Considering the limited grievance raised by the petitioner, this petition, at this juncture, is disposed of reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to make a representation before the Land Acquisition Officer claiming therein interest and in turn, the said authority is directed to decide the representation so made by the petitioner within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.. 6. With the aforesaid direction(s), the petition is disposed of at admission stage itself. Sd/-
