Roy, Adv.; Ms. S. Dey, Adv., for State. 1. The Court: Matter is heard in presence of learned Advocates representing petitioners and State respondents. 2. Mr. Dhiraj Trivedi, learned Senior Advocate representing petitioners, in reference to a communication dated February 11, 2026 of the Officer-in- Charge, Girish Park Police Station, Kolkata, has submitted that complaint of petitioners dated December 26, 2025 gave rise to a criminal proceeding being Girish Park P.S. Case No.152, dated December 27, 2025 under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 3. It is disclosed in the communication dated February 11, 2026 that on conclusion of investigation, charge sheet was filed by the concerned police authority being Charge Sheet No.01, dated February 10, 2026 before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 2
4. During continuation of investigation in connection with Girish Park P.S. Case No.152, dated December 27, 2025, all FIR named accused persons surrendered before the jurisdictional Magistrate and were enlarged on bail. 5. However, on behalf of petitioners it is submitted that alleging certain offences at the instance of private respondents, two complaints were lodged with the Officer-in-Charge, Girish Park Police Station, dated March 6, 2026 and March 16, 2026. According to petitioners steps are required to be taken based on the aforesaid recent complaints. 6. Mr. Tapan Kumar Mukherjee, learned Additional Government Pleader, representing the State respondents, submits that this writ petition pertains to complaint dated December 26, 2025, made by petitioners before the concerned police authority. It is also submitted on placing reliance on the communication dated February 11, 2026 of the Officer-in-Charge, Girish Park Police Station, Kolkata, that on receipt of the said complaint dated December 26, 2025, same was registered as Girish Park Police Station Case No.152, dated December 27, 2025 and the investigation culminated into filing of charge sheet on February 10, 2026. Subsequent complaints made by the petitioners in the month of March 2026 are not issues in the present writ petition. 7. In view of the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the steps taken by the concerned police authorities based on complaint dated December 26, 2025, the present writ petition is disposed of. 3

However, the issues relating to lodging of two complaints dated March 6, 2026 and March 16, 2026 are kept open. 9. The concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility in the locale and keep vigil. 10. Petitioners shall be at liberty to take steps according to law if occasion so arises.
