Mr. S.S. Yadav, Advocate for the petitioners. 2. Mr. Narayan Dutt, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioners are serving as Assistant Teacher, L.T. Grade in different subjects. They were transferred from durgam place to sugam place, vide order dated 26.06.2023. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioners filed this writ petition. 4. This Court, vide order dated 04.10.2023, granted interim order in favour of the petitioners, pursuant to which, reportedly, they are serving at the original places where they were serving, before. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners have put in 21 years and 17 years service at durgam places, therefore, they were entitled to be considered for transfer to sugam place, however, instead of transferring to sugam places, they were again transferred to durgam places. 6. Learned State Counsel, however, disputes this submission made by counsel for the petitioners and submits that petitioners were transferred to sugam places. 2025:UHC:10171 7. Be that as it may, since petitioners have served at the original places for more than two years, on the strength of the interim order passed by this Court, therefore, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition, pending. 8. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioners to make representation to the competent authority. If petitioners make representation within one week from today, decision thereupon shall be taken by the competent authority, within five weeks thereafter. For a period of six weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, status quo qua petitioners’ posting shall be maintained.
