Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner claiming that the petitioner has moved an application for the appointment of a fair price shop dealer on account of death of the dealer, namely, Surendra Singh. 3. The petitioner has no right to be appointed. 4. However, in case, no steps have been taken for appointment of the fresh dealer, the present petition is disposed of with direction to the authority concerned to take steps for appointment of the dealer after the death of the fair price shop dealer subject to any legal limitation. In case, steps are taken for appointment, the petitioner would also be entitled to apply, in case he is eligible, in accordance with law.
