(2) Petitioners were appointed as Junior Clerk in Department of Food and Civil Supplies of the State Government; they were subsequently promoted to Supply Inspector and lastly, they were promoted as Area Rationing Officer. Petitioners retired from service several years ago. By means of this writ petition, they have sought a direction to the respondents to grant them Grade Pay of ₹5400 as third ACP with arrears w.e.f. 17.1.2014 in terms of Government Orders dated 6.11.2013 and 17.1.2014 and also to re-determ ine the retiral dues payable to them. (3) Learned State Counsel submits that petitioners have sought a writ of mandamus and they have also made representation to the competent authority, therefore competent authority be asked to take decision on their representation. (4) Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioners be perm itted to make separate fresh representation. (5) Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioners to make separate fresh representation. If they make such representation within two weeks from today, Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies shall look into the claim staked by the petitioners and take decision, as per 2025:UHC:10228 law, within six months thereafter.
